Biography

Sharae Vicknair is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a strong background in college counseling, community-based mental health, accessibility services, academic advising, and career counseling. She holds degrees in psychology and clinical mental health counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Louisiana State University. Sharae takes a collaborative, student-centered approach to mental health care, with a focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel heard, respected, and empowered. She has presented at regional, state, and national level promoting equity and quality care. She is particularly passionate about advocating for marginalized populations and values the role of meaningful, everyday interactions in driving lasting change.
